I’ve had so much fun with my Crazi Cosi Crew of sideshow freaks and circus performers. I also fulfilled a dream of mine since I was a little girl and performed on a West End Stage. We have 11 more performances so if you want to see the craziness then book! www.eno.org/cosi

More NEW Headshots!

More NEW Headshots!

My new agents, the lovely RKA, sent me to Brandon Bishop, the photographer who does all their headshots. As you can see he’s amazing! I usually HATE having my headshots done – I always feel faintly ridiculous – but Brandon was brilliant – really put me at my ease. I highly recommend him!

Vampiric Me

Vampiric Me

Just wanted to share this headshot – been going through my work to build this website and found this fabulous shot from The Witches Hammer, a film I made way back in 2004 (whilst heavily pregnant). I play Charlotte Apone – the world’s fattest vampire (I always get the glamour roles). And I WAS wearing a fat suit – just for your information – and I was 8 months pregnant at the end of the shoot! Not that you could see my bump past the fatsuit! It starred the famous Stephanie Beecham – pre her Big Bro comeback. It’s out on DVD – in fact I saw it in my local library which was funny – it’s a classic British B Movie horror flick.

Funniest thing from this experience – as I said I was pregnant – I ended up calling my son Oscar, forgetting that in this film I have an axe-wielding dwarf sidekick called…..Oscar. I swear that wasn’t in my head when I named my child!

Jane Eyre part II

Jane Eyre part II

I’m actually playing Martha – the cook and wife of John who has come over with Rochester from Jamaica – he’s played by Ewart James Walters. I thought I recognised him at rehearsal but couldn’t work out how – turns out I saw him in Master Harold and The Boys at the Bristol Old Vic, which was directed by my lovely mate Joyce Branagh. He’s a wonderful actor and I’m really looking forward to working with him. We had a lovely rehearsal with Cary Fukunaga, Mia Wasikowska and a few other cast members at Pinewood on Monday.

We improvised some kitchen based scenes and I think I’m going to love working on this – Cary is wonderful – so is Mia – it’s all so exciting!

Only downside was – today I had to measure myself for the wardrobe department….I used to go in and out in all the right places but all three main numbers are starting to merge together…..I’m tubular!
